By using the services of THE HOT TOPIC Pty [Ltd], you agree to the following terms and conditions.
1. Services Provided
THE HOT TOPIC offers custom website design services, including mobile-friendly, SEO-ready websites.
Services include web development, layout design, basic SEO setup, and optional additional features (contact forms, booking systems, social media integration).
The scope of services is defined by the selected package.
2. Payment & Pricing
All package prices are once-off and include VAT.
There are no monthly subscription fees unless additional services are purchased.
Payment must be made in full before project commencement via approved payment methods.
Additional costs for services outside the agreed scope may apply and will be quoted separately.
3. Domain & Hosting
Packages include 1-year free domain registration.
Hosting is included for the duration of the package.
Domain renewal and continued hosting beyond the first year are the responsibility of the client, at a yearly fee of R350.
4. Project Delivery & Turnaround
Standard project turnaround is 3-4 working days, depending on the package and timely client provision of content and approvals.
Delays caused by late client feedback may extend delivery timelines.
5. Revisions
Each package includes 1–3 revisions, depending on the chosen package.
Additional revisions are available at an extra cost, as agreed with the client.
THE HOT TOPIC ensures the website meets the agreed specifications and quality standards before final approval.
6. Client Content & Copyright
Clients are responsible for providing all text, images, logos, and other content.
THE HOT TOPIC retains ownership of design elements until full payment is received.
Clients guarantee they have the rights to all provided content and materials.
7. Liability
THE HOT TOPIC is not responsible for any losses, damages, or downtime arising from the use of the website after final delivery and approval.
The website is provided “as is” after approval and final payment.
8. Cancellation & Refunds
Projects cannot be refunded once work has commenced.
Refunds may be considered at THE HOT TOPIC’s discretion, on a case-by-case basis.
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing at least 30 days in advance.
9. Privacy & Data Protection
Client information is kept confidential and will not be shared with third parties without consent.
All personal information collected via forms, email, or website will comply with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), 2013 and other applicable South African privacy laws.
10. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting a form, booking a service, or making a payment, clients confirm they have read and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
Clients must accept these terms before services commence.
11. Modifications
THE HOT TOPIC reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time.
Changes will be effective immediately upon being published on the website.
